Minnesota is known for an abundance of beautiful lakes—we didn’t get the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” moniker for nothing, after all. Our state is also home to the headwaters of the Mississippi and the north shore of the greatest of the Great Lakes. You could say that Minnesotans hit the jackpot when it comes to our natural resources. (#sorrynotsorry to all the other states that aren’t as lucky.)

Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands are not only beautiful, they are critical for wildlife habitat, recreation and public health. Lottery dollars being invested in projects that help to protect native species, fight invasive species, protect water quality and provide opportunities for recreation.
